Eva Svec has spent the bulk of her career working in rights and permissions, first at Key Porter Books and later at Kids Can Press where she spent the last six years managing the rights and permissions department.

Eva has sold rights into over 50 countries and has extensive experience in negotiating licenses and contracts, organizing co-edition printings and selling across a variety of platforms, including book clubs, book fairs, audio, film & TV and theatrical rights. She has attended a number of international book fairs including the Frankfurt Book Fair, Bologna Book Fair, Guadalajara International Book Fair, Liber (Spain) and Salon du Livre (Montreal).

Permissions management is another area in which Eva has in-depth experience: negotiating terms and fees and drafting permissions agreements have been among her responsibilities throughout her career.
